How to choose safe and hygienic silicone oil paper?

.When choosing silicone oil paper, be cautious of "three-no" products. Those low-priced silicone oil papers without outer packaging, brand, manufacturer and address information not only have questionable hygiene, but also may release harmful substances such as hydrogenated triphenyl, toluene and xylene when used in high-temperature environments.

.After confirming that the product is not a "three-no" product, focus on checking the implementation standards. Silicone oil paper that comes into direct contact with food should comply with the standard GB 4806.8. With this standard and a certificate of conformity, it can be used with confidence. Some manufacturers follow enterprise standards. As long as they are not lower than the national mandatory standards, there is no need to worry too much. If there is a test report from a third-party institution, such as a domestic certification body or a foreign SGS report, the product will be more guaranteed.

.Be equally cautious when using silicone oil paper. The applicable temperature and time are usually marked on its packaging, generally ranging from 220 to 250℃. There is no need to worry too much when using an air fryer, as its maximum temperature is mostly around 200℃. However, when using an oven, be careful when setting the temperature.

.In addition, when preheating the air fryer, do not place silicone oil paper in it. During the formal heating process, press it down with food to prevent it from being blown up and coming into contact with the heating components, which could cause a fire. After burning, the silicone oil paper will not only release harmful substances but also lead to food waste. Most silicone oil papers should be used within 20 to 30 minutes. If they need to be heated for a long time, they should be replaced in the middle.
